Start writing your story Spring is here, and with it comes the annual tradition of spring cleaning. It’s the perfect time to declutter, organize, and refresh your living space.
The struggle is always on where you start. I break it down into different days and don’t try to do the whole house in a day – so studio/office on one day and then kitchen/living room on another and then to the bedrooms.

I’ve compiled a few things that may help you get started in this process.
Declutter and Donate
Start by going through your belongings and decluttering. Get rid of items you no longer need or use. Consider donating gently used items to a local charity or shelter. This can help you create a more organized and spacious living area.
Deep Clean Your Carpets
Winter can take a toll on your carpets. Dirt, salt, and snow can all leave your carpets looking dingy and worn. Consider hiring a professional carpet cleaning service to deep clean your carpets and bring them back to life.
Clean Your Windows
Winter weather can leave your windows looking foggy and dirty. Take the time to clean your windows inside and out. This will not only improve the appearance of your home, but it will also let in more natural light.
Organize Your Closets
Spring is the perfect time to organize your closets. Take out all of your
winter clothes and store them away for next year. Then, go through your spring and summer clothes and organize them. Consider donating items that no longer fit or that you no longer wear.
Clean and Dust Your Home
Spring cleaning is all about freshening up your home. Take the time to clean and dust every surface in your home. This includes wiping down your baseboards, cleaning your ceiling fans, and dusting your light fixtures.
Refresh Your Bedding
Spring is the perfect time to switch out your winter bedding for something lighter and fresher. Consider buying new sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers to give your bedroom a new look.
Clean Out Your Refrigerator
Take the time to clean out your refrigerator and get rid of any expired or old food. Wipe down the shelves and drawers and give it a fresh start for the new season.
Clean Your Outdoor Spaces
Spring is also the perfect time to clean up your outdoor spaces. Sweep your porch, clean your patio furniture, and get your grill ready for barbecue season.
While spring cleaning can be a daunting task, it doesn’t have to be when you use this checklist. Remember, take it one step at a time, and don’t overwhelm yourself.
